Set Size & Quality
Optionally enter a target width in pixels. Leave blank to keep the original size. Adjust quality for lossy formats.
Drop Images
Drag and drop one or more image files. JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, BMP, GIF, TIFF, and SVG are all accepted as input.

Common questions about image conversion.
WebP is the best default for web — excellent quality, ~30% smaller than JPEG, supported in all modern browsers. Use AVIF for even smaller files if your audience is on Chrome or Firefox. Use PNG for logos, icons, or any image with transparency that must be lossless. Use JPEG for maximum compatibility with older systems.
Common web widths: 1200px for full-width blog images, 800px for article body images, 400px for thumbnails, 1920px for hero/banner images. For retina displays, use 2× the display size (e.g. 2400px for a 1200px display slot) and let the browser scale it down.
Yes. JPEG and BMP don't support transparency. Transparent areas are filled with white when converting to these formats. Use WebP or PNG if you need to preserve transparency. AVIF supports transparency but browser encoding support varies.
GIF is supported as input — the first frame is extracted and converted. SVG is supported as input via the browser's built-in SVG renderer, giving you a rasterized PNG/WebP/JPEG at your chosen resolution. Animated GIFs are not supported for output.
No. This tool uses the browser's Canvas API — conversion happens entirely on your device. Your images are never transmitted anywhere. You can disconnect from the internet after loading the page and the tool will still work perfectly.
